Kakumeiten

One of our boys brough us some Kakumeiten back from Taiwan after Christmas. Basically it is a soft buttery pastry that has a pineapple type paste in the middle. It is very sweet.

Here is the side of the box. He just explained it to me. Taiwan of course is the country he is from, and then Taoyuan is his city. He said the circles with characters in it means that it is in the top ten rated gifts to give. Then under that it means that it won an award annually for 13 years or something to that affect.
