Card from Xuyen!

I love when I get letters, cards and postcards from my girls last year. It puts a smile on my face when I get them :) Today I opened our mailbox and there was a postcard waiting for us from Xuyen. I sure do miss that girl!!

Dog Park

We decided to take the dogs out to the dog park this morning. We hadn't been in a while and we wanted them to get to run around. Last year we took them almost once a week and just have broke that habit this year. I feel badly because they really enjoy it. Rae of course is always more interested in the other people there verses other dogs :)

Ikea

Matt and I had our day off today. It was raining when we woke up so we forgot any plans of being outside and decided to make it an Ikea day! We got up and around and went before the store opened and got our free breakfast (which is always a good thing!) and then we took our time enjoying the store. We love just walking around there.

Enjoying the rainy view during breakfast... I actually love rainy days! (for the most part anyways)

Today was sheet washing day and we forgot to put any fabric softener in with it. We had some fun with Wrigley after we made the bed hehe

Muffins

Yes yes, more food. Again nothing else happened that was more exciting :)

Rice Krispy treats

I decided to make some rice krispies for the boys this weekend. I forgot how good melted marshmallows and butter smells!

Then I also made Matt, Tricia and I Mickey head ones out our Mickey head cutter. I topped them with chocolate and M&M's to try to make them sort of like the ones they sell at downtown Disney :) I had way too much fun making them.

Glue!

I had my glue out from when I was making my mom's birthday card (Her birthday is Saturday!). If something gets left out around here there usually ends up being a picture of it haha

Organizing

Matt and I are trying to get our apartment a bit more organized and in doing so we are putting some stuff away in boxes. I being the great helper that I am, was taking pictures during the process ;)

What happens when I don't feel like cooking

This is what happens when I don't feel like cooking. I grab various different things out of the cabinets and put them in a pot. Thankfully it turned out pretty yummy! In our wraps: Black beans, turkey sausage slices (from a link), shredded chicken, onions, spices and some shredded cheese.

Ponte Vedra and the beach

So today Matt and I ventured outside of the city and we found the thing that we felt was possibly missing. The city was nice, and fun to visit - but it didn't feel like home really. When we got to Ponte Vedra and the neighborhood off of exit 344... lol not sure what that neighborhood is called... we found an area that we loved!

Jacksonville!

Matt and I ventured to Jacksonville today! We stayed the night while there since it is about a 3 hour drive. The city is okay. It is more of a city than Orlando, but it is so very hard to not compare any city to Chicago. Comparing a city to Chicago is not a fair contest. We liked the city very much during the day. At night the city shuts down kind of early. We were trying to find something to eat around 8 and had limited choices. So our first impression was that we liked it but were not so totally in love that we would want to move there. We felt like something was missing.

Yet again I have a picture of Wrigley. Like I said before sometimes my days aren't overly exciting so I tend to resort to taking pictures of the dogs :) They are great models!

Pottery Alley

Today mom and I went to Pottery Alley - a paint your own ceramics place in Covington. I loved it! We had a really good time, I already found a place near home so that Matt and I can go do it. It was fun, we spent 3 hours there and could have probably spent another 2 hours there. It wasn't badly priced either.
