Wrigley the flying Yorkie

Matt is cleaning out his office today. In his office is a futon that we had bought for my office last year. Well under the futon we tend to keep all of our shoes there because it is the easiest place to put them. I took Wrigley outside earlier and I stepped over a pile of shoes that Matt piled up while he was cleaning. When I did that Wrigley jumped over the whole pile, so when I brought him back inside we got him to jump over it a few more times while I snapped some pictures :)

Blackberry

Back in October Matt and I switched from our Blackberrys to a nonsmart phone because were didn't want the internet on our phones anymore. Mine is in good condition because I always had it in the case basically from day one. Matt's not so much. We had said we would sell mine but just haven't gotten around to it. I decided to take some pictures of it yesterday so we can put it up on ebay soon.

MAIT

MAIT is the Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament. It is a large tourny put on by our Academy every January with other big named academy's/schools down here. Tonight was the start of this year's MAIT.  That means lots of excitment to be had all over campus. It has been spirit week for the kids all week. It is kind of like a homecoming celebration for them.

Oh my love for Netflix...

Michael Jackson's "This is It" movie came out on DVD today... and we got it in the mail today from Netflix. We watched it today (it was nice to watch) and we will have a new movie (Up) on Saturday. This will be a quick return for us, which allows us to get another movie quickly. There have been times where we have kept a movie for up to 3 weeks before. That would make the $9 a month fee steep for just that one movie, but we get our fair share other months. Not to mention I watched whole series of tv shows and used workout movies and watched all sorts of movies from their instant feed archives. So we certainly get our money's worth.

Book came in the mail today :)

For Matt and I's lifegroup we are going through the book "Becoming One". It came in the mail today which is fantastic because that means we will both have time to read through the first chapter before our next lifegroup meeting :)

Nothing else too exciting going on. Well something did today, but nothing I feel like sharing with the world ;)

LifeGroup

Matt and I joined a lifegroup at church. This lifegroup meets on Monday nights and we meet at a member's house. The leader printed off the first chapter of the workbook.

Food

So a lot of my pictures have been food. But sometimes my day is boring enough that dinner is the only thing half picture worthy. So here is another food picture. But I'll try to less food pictures from now on.

Playing around with editing

I just messed around with the editing program that I have. Nothing too special just testing out different settings.

More veggies

I'm trying to eat more veggies so in my attempt to do that I decided to pick up an orange pepper at the store. I ended up putting it in a stir-fry, and to my surprised actually liked it. I've always hated green peppers so I just assumed I would hate all of them.

Happy Birthday! Clean apartment, windy days and yummy snacks!

Today is my Aunt Johnna's birthday! Wrigley wanted to wish her a happy one :)



Today Matt and I decided to do some cleaning. We cleaned half the apartment carpet and did some other cleaning including washing our sheets.



Today was great outside for a good part of the day! At one point the weather channel said that it felt like 82! I LOVE it. We had the windows open because there was a nice breeze coming in. Wrigley likes to stand up on the couch and look out the window when we have the window open. He especially likes it if it is windy.



We are going to a new life group on Monday and we are suppose to bring a snack. I am going to make a fruit dip that I hadn't made before so of course I had to to a trial run first :) so here was my snack today. It is tasty enough in my opinion so it makes the cut!

Dinner

Tonight we had a very good dinner. We had rice with turkey sausage and a mix of veggies. We also had some garlic bread which isn't in the picture I am going to share. It was very filling which was great especially because I ran 2 miles today and running typically leaves me starved.

Kakumeiten

One of our boys brough us some Kakumeiten back from Taiwan after Christmas. Basically it is a soft buttery pastry that has a pineapple type paste in the middle. It is very sweet.

Here is the side of the box. He just explained it to me. Taiwan of course is the country he is from, and then Taoyuan is his city. He said the circles with characters in it means that it is in the top ten rated gifts to give. Then under that it means that it won an award annually for 13 years or something to that affect.

Dinner

For dinner tonight I had a bagel with cinnamon sugar. To drink, I had hot chocolate. Sounds like a great balanced dinner right??

Great Weekend!

Last night I surprised Matt with a night away. We stayed at the Rosen Shingle Creek resort hotel over in Orlando. It was a really nice hotel, and a steal on hotwire. I'm going to have more pictures than usual today :)

So we got it all fixed up and headed out to Lake Minneola and read on a blanket, then I took some pictures of Matt

Free Pizza!

Matt and I have a gift card for Pizza Hut that we need to finish using. So last night we decided to use it. I made the order online for a $10 any pizza. Matt left to pick it up and when they got there there was something with their computer system and their system said that we had paid for it online already, when we hadn't. So they told him to just take the pizza for free :)

Pill Mix Up

I posted a few posts ago about picking up some prescriptions. I happened to be looking at them and noticed one was different! I went back to the pharmacy to have them replace the wrong pill. Unfortunatly I picked up the original prescription in another town and they are making me go back to the out of town place to get it replaced :(

Christmas Candy

We are finally almost done with our left over Christmas candy that we've been picking at for the last few weeks. I'll be glad when it is gone :) Here is a mini Toblerone that I ate tonight.

I got a package in the mail from my friend Justina. She sent me a disk that she was letting me borrow. So here it is, edited of course to remove our personal addresses.



I also made a big batch of white chili today for dinner, and then to freeze for a quick lunch or dinner over the next few weeks.



I'm pretty sleepy tonight. My friend Trish and I went for a run this morning. I ended up doing 2.5 miles (walking and running). I'm sure I will sleep well tonight!

Meds

I had to pick up a few prescriptions today. Tricia and I had our montly day off together today. We went over to Florida Mall and walked around and then went to Ritters. I had some strawberry itailian ice. It was really good!

Ice

It has been pretty chilly down here, especially for being Florida. This morning after Tricia and I went for a run I noticed we had some ice on some of our plants. We also had some on the sidewalks. Today's pictures are from that.

Still Bruised!

I went for some bloodwork last Tuesday and while she did a good job with it, I am still bruised. I usually don't bruise that easy or for very long so I'm surprised. So today you get a fun shot of my still bruised arm :)

Looonnggg Weekend

This weekend is one of my long weekends where I sit in an office from Friday at 3pm until 11:30ish and then Saturday and Sunday from 9amish until 11:00ish (all ish times haha).

So this is what I look at all weekend...

Cold and Rainy

It was a cold and rainy day here in Florida. We're having temps here that are the coldest for central Florida in 20 years. We are suppose to be getting some sleet in the morning with the possibility of snow flurries. The snow flurries may be a county to the north though. Though it is cold here, for here, it is still only getting as low as mid 20's or so. We should be back into the 70's soon.

Anyways today was one of those days where it is good to just stay inside relaxing in bed watching movies. That sounds great... but we needed a few groceries. So my picture for today is our receipt.

My Keys

Work is back full swing. The students are having a hard time readjusting after break. They are back to forgetting to always take their key with them when they leave their dorm room. So I've been handing out my key a lot today so they can let themselves in their rooms. So today my picture is of my keys!

Silk

Often times when the students from our Academy leave for a vacation and go back home overseas they come back bringing gifts. Last year I received several gifts such as a silk scarf, carved wood figures in traditional dress, fans and other various things like that. I really do love getting these gifts because it allows me to remember the students once they leave. Plus it is fun to have items from around the world (though I own many "made in china" items haha).

One of Matt's students brought him back a silk pocket square back with him from China while he was home over Christmas break.

So my pictures from today are of that pocket square.

As of today my site is now: www.jacklynnfry.com !! I'm excited because now I feel like it is a real website. In the next few weeks I hope to be adding more portraits to my site and start building a portfolio.

St. Petersburg Beach

Today we went over and spent some time in Lakeland, then we went over to St. Pete to meet with with Matt's parent's who are in town. We waited near Clearwater Beach until their plane landed before meeting them at their resort. Here are a few pictures from the day:

Hello Everyone!

With the start of this new year I thought I would give blogging another try. I hope to fill this blog with my adventures in picture taking and various thoughts throughout the year.
